Business Systems Analyst
Dismas Distribution Services is a third-party supply chain Value-Added Services (VAS) provider seeking a Business Systems Analyst.
Role Summary
The Business Systems Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting the data systems and databases that enable the most efficient and cost-effective activities of production to deliver the level of quality and timeliness that our clients need and desire. Accurate, timely data and information exchange enable us to level up our service and drives client satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities
- At the direction of the Business Systems Manager, this role will develop and maintain data systems and databases by acquiring data from primary and secondary sources and build scripts that make data evaluation process more flexible and scalable across datasets
- As new tools and systems are implemented, this role will support the process and ensure that the maximum benefits are being realized
- Mine data from primary and secondary sources, then reorganize the data in a format that can be easily read and interpreted
- Maintain a strong connection to the physical operations of Dismas to ensure that the systems and data set encompass needed requirements. This requires communication and collaboration with all areas of the sales and production team
- Implement rigorous data validation and quality checks to ensure reliable data
- Acts as a support function for team members to assist with process improvements and technology support
- Support building capabilities within Dismas through improved reporting, process improvements and other areas that can be supported through advanced technology
Qualifications and Skills:
- 3+ years as a Data Analyst
- Proven analytics skills, including mining, evaluation, and visualization
- Technical writing experience in relevant areas, including queries, reports, and presentations
- Strong SQL programming and support ability
- Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Platform Knowledge
Preferred skills and qualifications:
- Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in mathematics, computer science, economics, or statistics
- Experience with database and model design and segmentation techniques
- Practical experience in statistical analysis through the use of statistical packages, including Excel, Access, or SPSS, or SAS
