This client is a third-party logistics provider that offers complete solutions for companies utilizing point-of-purchase displays, packaging, and co-packaging. Offering warehousing, design, production, and shipping, they specialize in fast turnarounds to enhance supply chain throughput. As their presence grew, this client looked to partner with a domestic third-party logistics company to expedite and economize distribution. They found that partner in Dismas.
CHALLENGE
This client created a large point-of-purchase display to be stocked in a major United States retail chain and collaborated with Dismas to produce, ship, and deliver according to the retailer’s specifications and timeline. As preparations were made, the retailer moved its desired in-stock date, requiring the displays to be delivered more than two weeks sooner than anticipated.
SOLUTION
The Dismas team refocused its production plan and internal resources to meet the demands of the retail client. They increased the level of staffing to accommodate the expedited production needs and arranged for multiple smaller shipments over the course of several days. In addition, Dismas provided daily status updates directly to the beauty company for increased efficiency and transparency, eliminating the need for coordination from Ontario.
